We are a group of Halloween enthusiasts who meet monthly to
share Halloween prop-building knowledge and ideas.
We hold hands-on workshops to
build props, animatronics and other Halloween haunt related items.
Each month a
member volunteers to host the meeting at their house/location and another member
volunteers to teach the make-n-take.
The member teaching the make-n-take usually
arranges to obtain the materials.
Members use the Yahoo! Groups list to RSVP their intent to
attend the meeting and build the prop, so the correct amount of supplies will be
purchased.
Sometimes money is collected at the meeting, sometimes in advance.
This list is also used for communicating about meeting locations and for
volunteering food, beverages, etc. for the meeting.
A usual meeting begins at
11:00 AM and lasts 4 - 5 hours depending on the prop being made. At the start of
each meeting we eat and chat and then we spend about 15-20 minutes discussing
upcoming events and other group business.
Next we start on the instruction
portion of the meeting.
We don't require that you attend every meeting to be a
member but some workshop participation is expected. | |
