A demonstration and explanation of how to use a four bar mechanism with pneumatic cylinders and valves to build a pop-up prop.
All of the calculations for building the lift are covered as well as possible materials and techniques needed to construct the prop.
This will be similar to the last time I did this presentation a few years back.
We had a great turn out before and I would like to offer to do the presentation again. I would be happy to also talk about using electronic sensors and small micro controllers to activate the props as well.
I live in Elk Grove, 15 minutes south of Sacramento. The meeting would start on April 21st at 11AM and there is no cost. I will be handing out a document detailing the calculations and techniques for building the four bar mechanism as well as demonstrating how they were used to build some of my Halloween props.
